Following on from the Mega Bertha’s plan never coming to fruition for Gerry Marshall to race, the Mk.1 Vauxhall Cavalier lay dormant in storage for 40 years until the plans and various parts for the Mega Bertha came up for sale. Ric Wood Motorsport were the ones to acquire the project and after three and a half intensive months the Cavalier had been restored for its debut appearance at Goodwood’s Festival of Speed 2018.
